In pontoon on the Angara river, Siberia (Russia), 2006
Lonely, lasting three weeks rafting on toy pontoon on Angara River - one of the most powerful Siberian rivers in Russia. The passed distance was about 500 km of wild river from Ust’ Ilimsk to Boguchany with numerous rapids and cataracts, where the velocity of the water, by my estimation, sometimes exceeded 20 km/h and waves reached up to 2-3 meters height. The route led through wild, uninhabited taiga away from any civilization, so nights spent in tent on river banks and on islands were full of adventures and dangers as well.
