On snowshoes in Telemark (Norway), 2023
It was supposed to be a winter expedition through the Hardanger plateau. Unfortunately, the terrible weather conditions in the first days combined with other factors did not allow for the implementation of this plan. Therefore, an emergency plan was implemented - trekking in the lower, more accessible parts of the mountainous Telemark. The expedition took place in mid-March 2023.

In Telemark I came across a total armageddon. Trucks and buses moved in shuttles in convoys led by snow plows.

It is time to go.


The photo was taken a few days later, because in the first days I was sinking in the snow up to my thighs, even though the snowshoes were adjusted to my weight.




I will not hide, it was not easy trip.




According to the Norwegian meteorological service, the air temperature at night was expected to drop to -17 degrees of Celcius.


















Poor visibility. It was foggy all day and it was raining lightly. Telephone and satellite navigation also failed for this reason.
